Is it legal to import JDM vehicles into the USA?

If the vehicle is over 25 years old then you can import it to the USA.
If it’s not, then the only legal way to own one of our cars in the US is to be a Canadian resident so you can register it and insure it with a Canadian address.

If you trailer/ship it down and trailer it to offroad race events so that you’re not driving it on public roads we personaly don’t see why it would be a problem.. However, we specialize in importing to Canada not the US, we do not have experience doing so and would strongly suggest consulting the DMV or your insurance agent to find out if this would work.  Basically, it would be your responsibility once it was sold to you.

We would love to help you out if you can find a way to make it work. If you were to purchase one of our cars and attempted to import it to the USA unsuccessfully, let us know and we can look into helping you resell it to a Canadian resident to recoup your investment.

To summarize, no, we are not able to import vehicles to the USA and are strongly against illegal importing of any kind as it could adversely affect the Canadian import laws.  That being said, we are always looking for legal options and should you discover a way to legally import these vehicles, we would be glad to learn more and offer assistance where we can.
